Fabio Betadur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amedeo Piermattei in the 4th minute of play. Josué Rego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Higinio Botello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 10 minutes, Oscar Delabarre mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zola Predosa FC and the LA DEL MONO players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 10th match minute, Zola Predosa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Delabarre to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, LA DEL MONO's Fabio Betadur got control of the ball when Sebastião Severo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 18 played minutes LA DEL MONO got a freekick which was hit by Andres Quintan. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amedeo Piermattei got free with Fabio Betadur in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vince Easton in the 20th minute of play forced Zola Predosa FC's goalkeeper Josué Rego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the match, LA DEL MONO's goalkeeper Fabio Betadur had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amedeo Piermattei. In the 22ndth minute of the game Amedeo Piermattei who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LA DEL MONO's Fabio Betadur was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After taking down the ball on Zola Predosa FC's corner Sebastião Severo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fabio Betadur quite easily take care of the ball. Amedeo Piermattei could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Fabio Betadur made a huge save. 27 minutes into the match, Zola Predosa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vince Easton came free, but Josué Rego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabio Betadur didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amedeo Piermattei went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Zola Predosa FC defense, Vince Easton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Josué Rego. The Zola Predosa FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Josué Rego should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastião Severo got free with Fabio Betadur in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 39 minutes into the game, Higinio Botello was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LA DEL MONO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zola Predosa FC the free kick. After 39 played minutes LA DEL MONO got a freekick which was hit by Higinio Botello. Amedeo Piermattei struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Fabio Betadur didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zola Predosa FC. In the 41st minute, Zola Predosa FC's Sebastião Severo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fabio Betadur. Fabio Betadur yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. After 44 played minutes Zola Predosa FC got a freekick which was hit by Emiliano Sampo. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Zola Predosa FC made a substitution. Cosimo Sciamanna replaced Hugo Flecken. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vince Easton to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sebastião Severo in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabio Betadur prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fabio Betadur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amedeo Piermattei in the 53rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Zola Predosa FC's Cosimo Sciamanna got a free kick in the 55th minute. After having played for 57 minutes, Vince Easton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LA DEL MONO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vince Easton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 63 minutes into the match, LA DEL MONO's goal looked a bit too open when Amedeo Piermattei came free, but Fabio Betadur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastião Severo in the 66th minute of play forced LA DEL MONO's goalkeeper Fabio Betadur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vince Easton in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. When Zola Predosa FC's Sebastião Severo in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye LA DEL MONO's goalie prevented a goal. Amedeo Piermattei recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zola Predosa FC's goalkeeper Josué Rego, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. LA DEL MONO made a substitution. Betinho Falcão replaced Vince Easton. After 82 minutes Zola Predosa FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rigoberto Cordareo who took care of the corner kick. LA DEL MONO's Rigoberto Cordareo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Josué Rego in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 83rd minute, Edelmiro Paskal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 84 minutes into the match, Sebastião Severo notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of LA DEL MONO's Fabio Betadur. Fabio Betadur was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 86 played minutes Zola Predosa FC got a freekick which was hit by Venancio Jauregui. When Eugenio Truylos fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LA DEL MONO's protests and gave Eugenio Truylos a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of LA DEL MONO booed when Zola Predosa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venancio Jauregui didn't get a good kick on the ball. LA DEL MONO's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
