The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Rickard Örnberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruy Berger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ruy Berger didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rickard Örnberg went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The BK Södra fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when BK Södra's Rickard Örnberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Alfredo Tomasini managed to get in a good position for a shot. ALIANZA 1901's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredo Tomasini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximino Totakoxe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 18 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for BK Södra! In the 19th minute there was a penalty for ALIANZA 1901. Luis Escobar stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Maximino Totakoxe. 1-3. The supporters of ALIANZA 1901 booed when BK Södra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christos Tzolis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ruy Berger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rickard Örnberg in the 26th minute of play. Ruy Berger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rickard Örnberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The audience was convinced that Jonas Wenerdahl's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ruy Berger was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rickard Örnberg in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ruy Berger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rickard Örnberg in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ruy Berger saved ALIANZA 1901 from getting behind. Rickard Örnberg took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ruy Berger. Ruy Berger dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With a left leg Maximino Totakoxe saved BK Södra from getting behind. ALIANZA 1901's Ruy Berger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save ALIANZA 1901 from getting a goal against them. Ruy Berger made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Rickard Örnberg sent off a good shot on target. Eric Da Silva hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Maximino Totakoxe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Tomasini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th minute Alfredo Tomasini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Totakoxe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maximino Totakoxe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Escobar in the 68th minute of play. After 73 played minutes BK Södra got a freekick which was hit by Rickard Örnberg. BK Södra's Frank Josefsson was substituted for Björn Holmgren. The supporters of ALIANZA 1901 booed when BK Södra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rickard Örnberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emil Ahlqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Escobar in the 75th minute of play forced BK Södra's goalkeeper Maximino Totakoxe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A nice corner shot did that Rickard Örnberg got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ruy Berger quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. BK Södra's Alf Lind was substituted for Christos Tzolis. After 88 minutes ALIANZA 1901's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rickard Örnberg who took care of the corner kick. The corner led BK Södra's Rickard Örnberg to fire away a dangerous shot which Ruy Berger despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ruy Berger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Wenerdahl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute of the match BK Södra got a corner. ALIANZA 1901's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rickard Örnberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, ALIANZA 1901's Richie Ason got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Richie Ason received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Maximino Totakoxe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alf Lind sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over BK Södra could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than ALIANZA 1901 throughout the match.
