Remigiusz Kaczynski made in the 11th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Comunicaciones's Hernan Coca. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Pedro Rosa in the 13th minute of play forced Gortaty's goalkeeper Arturo Boruc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romulo Oihan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Arturo Boruc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Gortaty getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Remigiusz Kaczynski hit a great ball. The corner led Comunicaciones's Dhari Al Ghanem to fire away a dangerous shot which Arturo Boruc despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 22nd minute of the match Comunicaciones got a corner. Gortaty's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Romulo Oihan ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Wiktor Danisiewicz managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Arturo Boruc made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when João Pedro Rosa sent off a good shot on target. In the 25th minute Comunicaciones were awarded a corner. Romulo Oihan went to the cornerflag to take it. Arturo Boruc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Pedro Rosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner ended in Romulo Oihan almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Gortaty's Arturo Boruc did a great save. The wind increased when João Pedro Rosa made the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, João Pedro Rosa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. In the 90th minute Wiktor Danisiewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arturo Boruc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabio Gerola came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Gortaty's Aleksander Bykowski. But to his dismay, Aleksander Bykowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. When the referee ended the match the Comunicaciones players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
