Mauro Cordearo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. SOUTH THUNDER's Mauro Cordearo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apolo Paez in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Espínola Cabañero in the 13th minute of play forced SOUTH THUNDER's goalkeeper Mauro Cordearo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Augusto Procopio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Miro Rohrer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Augusto Procopio got free with Miro Rohrer in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Aguirres's Miro Rohrer got control of the ball when Santiago Bautista tried to sneak it across the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Aguirres's Brock Friend nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mauro Cordearo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Mauro Cordearo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apolo Paez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apolo Paez in the 22nd minute of play forced SOUTH THUNDER's goalkeeper Mauro Cordearo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 25 played minutes SOUTH THUNDER got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Raymond. In the 29th minute, Valentin Sindo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mauro Cordearo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apolo Paez, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 30th minute, Apolo Paez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mauro Cordearo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After 35 played minutes Aguirres got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Viveiros. Mario Orkatz hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Miro Rohrer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bonifacio Arias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Apolo Paez scored 0-4 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mauro Cordearo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 46th minute of the match, Augusto Procopio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Miro Rohrer saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Conrado Emesto advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-4 in the 48th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

53 minutes into the match, Aguirres's goal looked a bit too open when Jeronimo Errapel came free, but Miro Rohrer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geronimo Medina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, SOUTH THUNDER's Mauro Cordearo got control of the ball when Brock Friend tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 61st minute Santiago Bautista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miro Rohrer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bonifacio Arias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mauro Cordearo made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Brock Friend sent off a good shot on target. Brock Friend could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Mauro Cordearo made a huge save. In the 77th minute, Jeronimo Errapel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Miro Rohrer was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. Aguirres made a substitution. Luisito Liher replaced Espínola Cabañero. Aguirres made a substitution. Eduardo Jerano replaced Brock Friend. Bonifacio Arias charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bonifacio Arias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bonifacio Arias hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After 88 played minutes SOUTH THUNDER got a freekick which was hit by Bonifacio Arias. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Eduardo Jerano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aguirres's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduardo Jerano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mauro Cordearo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Jeronimo Errapel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Aguirres eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
