An unexpectedly hard shot by Gert Örtendahl in the 16th minute of play forced Curicó-Unido's goalkeeper Julio Tinoco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Tinoco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gao Xu Yong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute, Jean-Baptiste Xavier Lloret ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Tinoco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gao Xu Yong in the 61st minute of the match. After 72 played minutes Curicó-Unido got a freekick which was hit by Orlondón Marileo. Telge77 made a substitution. Herman Lagerberg replaced Jim Sjögren. When Marcel Linhares came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Curicó-Unido fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcel Linhares couldn't finish the play. Gao Xu Yong took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Tinoco. Julio Tinoco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Telge77 made a substitution. Patrick Martinsson replaced Gao Xu Yong.
