Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adan Otsoko in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Okanalp Tuncer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Okanalp Tuncer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saverio Locaio in the 15th minute of the match. Okanalp Tuncer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cayetano Sarracino, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After 29 minutes of play, Almeyra F.C.'s Saverio Locaio made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Okanalp Tuncer was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Saverio Locaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, Adan Otsoko had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Okanalp Tuncer. FC Basel's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adan Otsoko was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 狄迪傲 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Cristo Colas made a huge save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Lucas Gonzalez made a great header on Almeyra F.C.'s corner, it was just that FC Basel's Okanalp Tuncer managed to reach the ball for a save. Lucas Gonzalez made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 54thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Okanalp Tuncer would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Wojciech Kostka ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led FC Basel's Wojciech Kostka to fire away a dangerous shot which Cristo Colas despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Celedonio Xabat hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute of the match Wojciech Kostka shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cristo Colas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 63 minutes into the game, Celedonio Xabat cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Okanalp Tuncer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 68 played minutes Almeyra F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Victorio Sabino. After having played for 69 minutes, 狄迪傲 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Basel's supporters crossed their fingers, but 狄迪傲 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Grant Pustak's late challenge caught a Almeyra F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Grant Pustak helped the player get up and apologised. Grant Pustak hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. When Victorio Sabino came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Almeyra F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victorio Sabino couldn't finish the play. Victorio Sabino hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Victorio Sabino charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Victorio Sabino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 77 played minutes Almeyra F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Victorio Sabino. Adan Otsoko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 85th minute of the match Almeyra F.C. got a corner. FC Basel's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. The corner led Almeyra F.C.'s Victorio Sabino to fire away a dangerous shot which Okanalp Tuncer despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 狄迪傲 blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristo Colas having to make a save. 狄迪傲 scored 2-4 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristo Colas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Almeyra F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Almeyra F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
