The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Neal Weatherby in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hugon Skaradoski saved SAN DIEGO from getting behind. Hugon Skaradoski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steven Chaptal in the 4th minute of play. When Elderslie Magpies's Neal Weatherby in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SAN DIEGO's goalie prevented a goal. After 6 minutes of play, Elderslie Magpies's Steven Chaptal made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hugon Skaradoski was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Neal Weatherby sped through SAN DIEGO's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hugon Skaradoski. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neal Weatherby in the 13th minute of play forced SAN DIEGO's goalkeeper Hugon Skaradoski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Menduh Georgievskis short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got Christian Kerville to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Hugon Skaradoski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neal Weatherby, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 81st minute, Steven Chaptal fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When Neal Weatherby, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 81 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Hugon Skaradoski was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Elderslie Magpies made a substitution. Gilberto Fernandes replaced Earl Prince. Elderslie Magpies's Rick Souness got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 86th minute, Ovidio Etxekopar made a precise shot to the right of Hugon Skaradoski. SAN DIEGO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Besnik Doksim hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. A nice corner shot did that Rick Souness got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Hugon Skaradoski quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the final whistle sounded Elderslie Magpies left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than SAN DIEGO.
