Prospero Goizeder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Georges Collard in the 14th minute of play. Lonnie Hurley made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Basilio Picardo sent off a good shot on target. Cody McKay was slow to take the kick. During this time Key Biscayne FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Key Biscayne FC's Cody McKay to fire away a dangerous shot which Prospero Goizeder despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 35th minute of the match, Basilio Picardo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lonnie Hurley was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 39th minute Georges Collard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prospero Goizeder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Prospero Goizeder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ali Hogue, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Basilio Picardo made the kick off in the second half. A very good chance. Key Biscayne FC's Georges Collard got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Key Biscayne FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
