After some careless play in the De Kasteelheren defense, Róbert Varga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bram Reinhard. The De Kasteelheren fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bram Reinhard should have stopped the shot. Mondi Muslera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harold Rodenboog, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Bram Reinhard came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by FENERBAHÇE's Róbert Varga. But to his dismay, Róbert Varga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Bram Reinhard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Róbert Varga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FENERBAHÇE's Mondi Muslera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save FENERBAHÇE from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ferdi Vorenkamp in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mondi Muslera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 35th minute Róbert Varga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bram Reinhard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mondi Muslera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harold Rodenboog in the 40th minute of play. In the 41stth minute of the game Róbert Varga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but De Kasteelheren's Bram Reinhard was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The throw-in from Martien Meerdink in the 45th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FENERBAHÇE's Patryk Domaracki. In the 47th minute, FENERBAHÇE's Pedrinho Geromel seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Pedrinho Geromel the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FENERBAHÇE protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Pedrinho Geromel had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 48th minute, Pedrinho Geromel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Inácio Amaral was the one to do the kick off. Korkut Kırgız could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Bram Reinhard made a huge save. In the 59th minute, Miroslaw Nieuzyla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FENERBAHÇE's Wiktor Naumowicz was substituted for 巩帆竞. 70 minutes into the game, Anatoliy Gvozdevych threw the ball into play from the sideline. FENERBAHÇE's Patryk Domaracki quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. FENERBAHÇE's Korkut Kırgız got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 80th minute Harold Rodenboog shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mondi Muslera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FENERBAHÇE's Mondi Muslera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harold Rodenboog in the 82nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Korkut Kırgız got free with Bram Reinhard in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Martien Meerdink made in the 90th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Jos Everts. The FENERBAHÇE players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
