Aleksander Winograd struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Ovidiu Adrian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Ovidiu Adrian came out and tried to block the shot, but Napoleon Dziatkowski slotted it home off the left post making it 5-1 in the 85th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Jagiellonia Bialystok's goal looked a bit too open when Julien-Nils Trede came free, but Michael Iurisch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ovidiu Adrian came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Jagiellonia Bialystok's Napoleon Dziatkowski. But to his dismay, Napoleon Dziatkowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julien-Nils Trede in the 94th minute of play forced Jagiellonia Bialystok's goalkeeper Michael Iurisch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ovidiu Adrian made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dariusz Praski in the 96th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Jagiellonia Bialystok players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Poli Timisoara.
