FC Snipers's Ivan Johansson got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 6 minutes into the match, FC Snipers's goal looked a bit too open when Cláudio das Neves came free, but Olov Groth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dedé Paiva made a great header on Ferreira Lopes MZC's corner, it was just that FC Snipers's Olov Groth managed to reach the ball for a save. Olov Groth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dário Martins, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronaldo Alcântara in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olov Groth saved FC Snipers from getting behind. Ferreira Lopes MZC's Ronaldo Alcântara got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Magne Ryberg kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Ferreira Lopes MZC's Ronaldo Alcântara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Olov Groth narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 35th minute Ferreira Lopes MZC were awarded a corner. Dedé Paiva went to the cornerflag to take it. Sidnei Bertassi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olov Groth having to interfere. When Ferreira Lopes MZC's Ronaldo Alcântara in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. If Dedé Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Olov Groth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dedé Paiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olov Groth came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Ferreira Lopes MZC's Dário Martins. But to his dismay, Dário Martins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Ferreira Lopes MZC made a substitution. Herald Depauw replaced Luka Beaugendre.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lukas Moberg to make the kick off. 64 minutes into the game, Cláudio das Neves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ferreira Lopes MZC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Snipers the free kick. After 64 played minutes Ferreira Lopes MZC got a freekick which was hit by Cláudio das Neves. The supporters of Ferreira Lopes MZC booed when FC Snipers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roland Haglund didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the FC Snipers defense, Ronaldo Alcântara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olov Groth. The FC Snipers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olov Groth should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dário Martins got free with Olov Groth in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 85 minutes into the game, Dário Martins cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. Olov Groth was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Olov Groth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ronaldo Alcântara did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-8 to the left of a surprised Olov Groth 92 minutes into the match. Olov Groth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Alcântara in the 96th minute of play.
