Spectators: 7508 (Terracing: 5655, Seating: 1733, VIP seats: 120) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Damaso Sancho started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Damaso Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Congo Bongo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Omar Erramun was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 6 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Congo Bongo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 5th minute. Penalty! Dave Blair took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Máté Márton. Máté Márton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 11 minutes into the match, AC ALDO BONZI's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Austin came free, but Arnoldo Canor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, AC ALDO BONZI's Máté Márton threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jeronimo Elivareo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 24 minutes in the game Zacarias Lesardo did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Tomas Peeters. Wu Hong Ning made in the 33rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Sergio Austin. If Sergio Austin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, Tomas Peeters hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 42 minutes, Sergio Austin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Congo Bongo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sergio Austin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dave Blair to make the kick off. In the 51st minute Tomas Peeters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Máté Márton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 54 minutes AC ALDO BONZI's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Franz Beckenbauer who took care of the corner kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sergio Austin got free with Arnoldo Canor in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octave De Coster in the 64th minute of play forced Congo Bongo's goalkeeper Máté Márton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, AC ALDO BONZI's Filiberto Alfonso got a free kick in the 65th minute. A throw-in in the 72nd minute of the game was made by Wu Hong Ning with Arnaldo Oidor as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 73rd minute, Octave De Coster hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Congo Bongo's Arnaldo Oidor got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Congo Bongo's Máté Márton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dave Blair in the 78th minute of play. Zacarias Lesardo made in the 80th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Evaristo Erroman however managed to control. When Andrew Specht fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Congo Bongo's protests and gave Andrew Specht a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of AC ALDO BONZI booed when Congo Bongo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrew Specht didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 88 played minutes Congo Bongo got a freekick which was hit by Andrew Specht. A collision led to AC ALDO BONZI getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Anselmo Cordero hit a great ball. After 94 played minutes, Congo Bongo's Franz Beckenbauer shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arnoldo Canor came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Congo Bongo reached it.
