With his leg Willian Cordeiro managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when AC ALDO BONZI's Dave Blair fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. David Nordlander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnoldo Canor having to interfere. Willian Cordeiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Octave De Coster in the 29th minute. Arnoldo Canor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismael Jenaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell David Nordlander to make the kick off.
