In the 6th minute Fresco Sesse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Boone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, Varennes's goal looked a bit too open when Fresco Sesse came free, but Gilberto Boone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilberto Boone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adriano Croti, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Emil Hägg made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Maurice Odonnell sent off a good shot on target. Varennes's Gilberto Boone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fresco Sesse in the 16th minute of play. Seth Lukes short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Emil Hägg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Fresco Sesse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Adriano Croti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Boone having to interfere. But to his dismay, Maurice Odonnell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Fresco Sesse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Boone having to interfere. Seth Luke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emil Hägg having to interfere. In the 47th match minute, Bajenland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walter Jean-Baptiste to maneuver through the defense. Maurice Odonnell blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emil Hägg having to make a save. With a little luck, Bajenland's Emil Hägg got control of the ball when Maurice Odonnell tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The long shot by Silvério Toscano in the 53rd minute really tested Gilberto Boone's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When Maurice Odonnell came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Varennes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurice Odonnell couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Varennes booed when Bajenland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvério Toscano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fresco Sesse came free with the goalkeeper in the 86th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gilberto Boone could save by the left post. Gilberto Boone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Ifrim in the 95th minute of play. Wang Bing charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wang Bing the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Bajenland's Wang Bing got a free kick in the 96th minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
