In the 26thth minute of the game Gonzalo Lixandro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BFC 1982's Cesario Roma was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cesario Roma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raimundo Ventura, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Gonzalo Lixandro scored 0-2 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cesario Roma, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Raimundo Ventura's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cesario Roma was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodolfo Faria got free with Cesario Roma in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the final whistle sounded Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than BFC 1982.
