In the 5th minute, Severo Laurentzi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Polonia Basildon fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Valter Mellin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hayden Baker read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. With a little luck, Polonia Basildon's Hayden Baker got control of the ball when Valter Mellin tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 15th minute of the match Cheetah Team got a corner. Polonia Basildon's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Egon Ahlbom ran over to the corner to take the kick. Cheetah Team's Egon Ahlbom was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hayden Baker in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Valter Mellin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hayden Baker having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valter Mellin got free with Hayden Baker in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 20th minute M. Fachrul Gibran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claes Caspersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute, Cheetah Team's Valter Mellin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. In the 24th minute, Cheetah Team's Valter Mellin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hayden Baker. Hayden Baker yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. A sloppy throw-in by Paul Mersø in the 27th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Cheetah Team's Egon Ahlbom. Rupert Longden kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Claes Caspersson came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Polonia Basildon's Severo Laurentzi. But to his dismay, Severo Laurentzi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. A collision led to Polonia Basildon getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Paul Mersø hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dick Forssell to strike the kick off in the second half. Dick Forssell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hayden Baker read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. The supporters of Cheetah Team booed when Polonia Basildon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kurt Poynton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mark Malmberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hayden Baker. Polonia Basildon's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. J.C. Smith received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Claes Caspersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A sloppy throw-in by Egon Ahlbom in the 64th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Polonia Basildon's Paul Mersø. Severo Laurentzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claes Caspersson having to interfere. If M. Fachrul Gibran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cheetah Team's Claes Caspersson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severo Laurentzi in the 76th minute of play. Polonia Basildon's Hayden Baker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valter Mellin in the 78th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severo Laurentzi in the 82nd minute of play forced Cheetah Team's goalkeeper Claes Caspersson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Rupert Longden managed to get in a good position for a shot. Polonia Basildon's supporters rose to their feet, but Rupert Longden was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claes Caspersson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Polonia Basildon's Hayden Baker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valter Mellin in the 88th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Cheetah Team's Egon Ahlbom broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severo Laurentzi in the 97th minute of play forced Cheetah Team's goalkeeper Claes Caspersson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Polonia Basildon's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rupert Longden in the 99th minute. The Cheetah Team fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Polonia Basildon were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
