With an extended leg and a bit of luck Patricio Salamon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Polonia Basildon defense, Feliks Nieruchliwy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hayden Baker. The Polonia Basildon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hayden Baker should have stopped the shot. Severo Laurentzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Rupert Longden fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Polonia Basildon's protests and gave Rupert Longden a yellow card for diving instead. After 16 played minutes Polonia Basildon got a freekick which was hit by Rupert Longden. Feliks Nieruchliwy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patricio Salamon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severo Laurentzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 23 minutes into the match, Soflov FC's Feliks Nieruchliwy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hayden Baker narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Severo Laurentzi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Patricio Salamon was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. In the 33rdth minute of the game Severo Laurentzi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Soflov FC's Patricio Salamon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Severo Laurentzis short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got Patricio Salamon to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Polonia Basildon's Hayden Baker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliks Nieruchliwy in the 40th minute of play. Patricio Salamon was a little too slow when Kurt Poynton got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Severo Laurentzi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match David Oriol shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hayden Baker showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stefan Camfield during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliks Nieruchliwy in the 68th minute of play forced Polonia Basildon's goalkeeper Hayden Baker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute of the match Soflov FC got a corner. Polonia Basildon's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. David Oriol ran over to the corner to take the kick. Severo Laurentzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patricio Salamon having to interfere. Hayden Baker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliks Nieruchliwy in the 78th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Soflov FC's David Oriol got a free kick in the 78th minute. After 80 minutes, Feliks Nieruchliwy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Soflov FC and the Polonia Basildon players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 80 played minutes Soflov FC got a freekick which was hit by Feliks Nieruchliwy. Polonia Basildon's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rupert Longden in the 87th minute. Polonia Basildon's Rupert Longden was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Patricio Salamon in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Polonia Basildon fans cheered their team off the field, for while Soflov FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
