The audience was convinced that Wanderson Pombal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jarrett Rosenberg was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. In the 17th minute, Bruno Cariton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jarrett Rosenberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wanderson Pombal in the 25th minute. Marián Petrov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jarrett Rosenberg was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Wanderson Pombal showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 32 minute of play. In the 35th minute of the match, Wanderson Pombal got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jarrett Rosenberg was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 36 minutes into the match, Cosmos Soccer Club's goal looked a bit too open when Wanderson Pombal came free, but Jarrett Rosenberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Canteranos Fc's Wanderson Pombal got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A nice corner shot did that Marián Petrov got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jarrett Rosenberg quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wanderson Pombal got free with Jarrett Rosenberg in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wanderson Pombal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jarrett Rosenberg having to make a save. Jarrett Rosenberg made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Wanderson Pombal sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Patrick Fontenot to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Cosmos Soccer Club booed when Canteranos Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivo Mattos didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wanderson Pombal in the 53rd minute of play forced Cosmos Soccer Club's goalkeeper Jarrett Rosenberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Canteranos Fc's Wanderson Pombal in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Jarrett Rosenberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. 62 minutes into the match, Wanderson Pombal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jarrett Rosenberg. Cosmos Soccer Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wanderson Pombal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Jarrett Rosenberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wanderson Pombal, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wanderson Pombal in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jarrett Rosenberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wanderson Pombal might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jarrett Rosenberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wanderson Pombal ran back to his position shaking his head. Jarrett Rosenberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wanderson Pombal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st match minute, Cosmos Soccer Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcus Rush to maneuver through the defense. Jarrett Rosenberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wanderson Pombal in the 72nd minute of the match. Wanderson Pombal might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jarrett Rosenberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wanderson Pombal ran back to his position shaking his head. Canteranos Fc's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Leonides Trarigo in the 76th minute. But to his dismay, Wanderson Pombal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Rosario Escarza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Fontenot in the 81st minute of the match.
