São José City - FSCMZ's George Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anoush Rott in the 16th minute of play. George Buffon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. George Buffon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alfredo Toschi went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. 31 minutes into the game, Enzo Batistuta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. São José City - FSCMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CA Boca Jrs the free kick. 32 minutes into the game, CA Boca Jrs's Anoush Rott nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nunez Feliz got free with George Buffon in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 94 minutes in the game, Alfredo Toschi fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without George Buffon having to interfere. When the match was over CA Boca Jrs could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than São José City - FSCMZ throughout the match.
