The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gus Simpson in the 3rd minute of play forced Giovana F C's goalkeeper Gian Weidt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 4th minute Bordat Vidania shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brandon Borthwick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brandon Borthwick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bordat Vidania in the 6th minute of the match. In the 13th minute of the match Giovana F C got a corner. Dundee Rovers's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Matías Antunes ran over to the corner to take the kick. Bordat Vidania made a great header on Giovana F C's corner, it was just that Dundee Rovers's Brandon Borthwick managed to reach the ball for a save. Brandon Borthwick was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bordat Vidania showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 16 minute of play. In the 19th minute, Tadeu Xavier reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Brandon Borthwick. The goal made the score 2-0. After 22 minutes of play, Giovana F C's Tadeu Xavier made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brandon Borthwick was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 24 played minutes Dundee Rovers got a freekick which was hit by Oliver McIlvride. Tadeu Xavier received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Brandon Borthwick came out and tried to block the shot, but Tadeu Xavier slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 26th minute. 29 minutes into the game, Oliver McIlvride cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Gian Weidt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet as Giovana F C's Tadeu Xavier slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Brandon Borthwick. That made the score 6-1 after 35 minutes of play. In the 40th minute Eusébio Angelsø shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brandon Borthwick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Giovana F C booed when Dundee Rovers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nick McDonachie didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bordat Vidania in the 43rd minute of play forced Dundee Rovers's goalkeeper Brandon Borthwick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tadeu Xavier received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Brandon Borthwick came out and tried to block the shot, but Tadeu Xavier slotted it home off the left post making it 7-1 in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 7-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tadeu Xavier made a kick off. Brandon Borthwick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeu Xavier in the 51st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusébio Angelsø in the 54th minute of play forced Dundee Rovers's goalkeeper Brandon Borthwick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Dundee Rovers defense, Bordat Vidania kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brandon Borthwick. The Dundee Rovers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brandon Borthwick should have stopped the shot. 58 minutes into the game, Bordat Vidania cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-1. Brandon Borthwick was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 62nd minute Bordat Vidania shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brandon Borthwick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Eusébio Angelsø left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Giovana F C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 10-1. Gian Weidt made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Nick McDonachie sent off a good shot on target. In the 70th minute, Dean Dyer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dundee Rovers's Brandon Borthwick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeu Xavier in the 70th minute of play. 71 minutes into the game, Tadeu Xavier cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 11-1. Brandon Borthwick was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Bordat Vidania had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brandon Borthwick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bordat Vidania in the 80th minute of play. William McJames charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed William McJames the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. William McJames kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Matías Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Giovana F C's Gian Weidt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Giovana F C from getting a goal against them. Eusébio Angelsø sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the game, Dundee Rovers's Nick McDonachie nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gian Weidt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 12-2. After 94 minutes of play, Giovana F C's Bordat Vidania made it 13-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brandon Borthwick was left in no man's land by his defense there! Giovana F C walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
