Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Özen Baroğlu in the 2nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bath Boyce prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paco Everett got free with Javier García in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 6thth minute of the game Özen Baroğlu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Boroondara Milan's Bath Boyce was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 9th minute Özen Baroğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bath Boyce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paco Everett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Javier García tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17thth minute of the game Özen Baroğlu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Boroondara Milan's Bath Boyce was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Özen Baroğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bath Boyce having to interfere. Bath Boyce didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Özen Baroğlu went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Through an outstanding action, after 29 minutes, Javier García successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Paco Everett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bath Boyce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ermis Panakakis in the 32nd minute of the match. Kris Pearse blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Javier García having to make a save. O.T.E's Javier García played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kris Pearse in the 35th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Özen Baroğlu in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bath Boyce saved Boroondara Milan from getting behind. Kris Pearse took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Javier García. Javier García dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Özen Baroğlu to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Fotis Papadimas managed to get in a good position for a shot. O.T.E's supporters rose to their feet, but Fotis Papadimas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bath Boyce breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
