Mathijs Tevreden stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaafar Jesus's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute of the match Örebro FF got a corner. S.C. Potentia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gaafar Jesus ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gaafar Jesus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mathijs Tevreden read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Mathijs Tevreden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaafar Jesus, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Örebro FF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gaafar Jesus in the 22nd minute. Ramon Achterberg tried in the game's 22nd match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Mathijs Tevreden. An annoying self made goal, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaafar Jesus got free with Mathijs Tevreden in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gaafar Jesus took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mathijs Tevreden. Mathijs Tevreden dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The Örebro FF fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when Örebro FF's Gaafar Jesus looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gilberton Da Silva Junior got a throw-in 46 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Ramon Achterberg. Gilberton Da Silva Junior charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilberton Da Silva Junior the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to S.C. Potentia getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Gilberton Da Silva Junior hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gerald Vanenburg to make the kick off. Gaafar Jesus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mathijs Tevreden read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaafar Jesus in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mathijs Tevreden prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Örebro FF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gaafar Jesus in the 60th minute. Örebro FF's Wieslaw Lagiewniki was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mathijs Tevreden in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Örebro FF's Gaafar Jesus managed to work through S.C. Potentia's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Gaafar Jesus dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Mathijs Tevreden stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaafar Jesus's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Rutger Magnusson sped through S.C. Potentia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mathijs Tevreden. Naci Ünüvar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaafar Jesus in the 73rd minute of play forced S.C. Potentia's goalkeeper Mathijs Tevreden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gaafar Jesus in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mathijs Tevreden saved S.C. Potentia from getting behind. If Rutger Magnusson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Herbert Gabler kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the game, Gaafar Jesus cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Mathijs Tevreden was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match clock showed 92 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Gaafar Jesus sped through S.C. Potentia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mathijs Tevreden. If Gaafar Jesus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mathijs Tevreden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaafar Jesus in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Örebro FF fans cheered their team off the field, for while S.C. Potentia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
