An unexpectedly hard shot by Gard Bredesen in the 2nd minute of play forced Buenaventura FC's goalkeeper Carlos Eduardo Ramos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th minute Ziya Di Maria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Revheim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. André-Pierre Gignac sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 11 minutes into the match, POPODARA F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Walter Bock came free, but Thomas Revheim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Walter Bock in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thomas Revheim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Cezary Przybylo fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Buenaventura FC's protests and gave Cezary Przybylo a yellow card for diving instead. Cezary Przybylo hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. When Gard Bredesen came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the POPODARA F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gard Bredesen couldn't finish the play. Thomas Revheim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walter Bock in the 22nd minute of play. Thomas Revheim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walter Bock, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Buenaventura FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Cezary Przybylo hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as POPODARA F.C's Federico Mauro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Carlos Eduardo Ramos. That made the score 1-0 after 33 minutes of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Walter Bock in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thomas Revheim saved POPODARA F.C from getting behind. Dorel Ilinca kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the match, Ziya Di Maria had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thomas Revheim. POPODARA F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ziya Di Maria was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Federico Mauro during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Federico Mauro hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Thomas Revheim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walter Bock in the 52nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, André-Pierre Gignac managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buenaventura FC's supporters rose to their feet, but André-Pierre Gignac was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thomas Revheim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Buenaventura FC's Walter Bock in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some careless play in the POPODARA F.C defense, André-Pierre Gignac kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thomas Revheim. The POPODARA F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thomas Revheim should have stopped the shot. Walter Bock's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thomas Revheim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute Federico Mauro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Eduardo Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Buenaventura FC's André-Pierre Gignac ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Thomas Revheim. Thomas Revheim yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gard Bredesen in the 78th minute of play forced Buenaventura FC's goalkeeper Carlos Eduardo Ramos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Eduardo Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bendik Bekken, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. André-Pierre Gignac's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Thomas Revheim firmly grabbed it by the left post. POPODARA F.C's Thomas Revheim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walter Bock in the 86th minute of play. After 87 played minutes Buenaventura FC got a freekick which was hit by Bilgehan Ülgener. POPODARA F.C made a substitution. Ådne Svensen replaced Bendik Bekken. In the 91st minute Ziya Di Maria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Revheim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd match minute, POPODARA F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gard Bredesen to maneuver through the defense. The POPODARA F.C manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Buenaventura FC to win.
