Juan Musso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anier Quintyn in the 15th minute. Mogel Izcaray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frits Sap having to interfere. Mogel Izcaray blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Frits Sap having to make a save. Frits Sap took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mogel Izcaray, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 39 played minutes, ÓKINJÔ FC's Moisés Chagas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Juan Musso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ÓKINJÔ FC reached it. Mogel Izcaray took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frits Sap. Frits Sap dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anier Quintyn stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Seyhun Demircan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Musso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frits Sap showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mogel Izcaray in the 54th minute of the match. Mogel Izcaray recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mogel Izcaray's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frits Sap read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. In the 81st minute Amável Baldaia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Musso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mogel Izcaray received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Frits Sap tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frits Sap made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gervasio Bieito in the 88th minute. In the 92ndth minute of the game Anier Quintyn who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rosario Central FC's Juan Musso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 92 minutes, Qi Si mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ÓKINJÔ FC and the Rosario Central FC players grew even worse after the yellow card.
