Gert Altorn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pape Lillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. The Várdomb fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when Várdomb's Neymar Da Silva looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Hønning's Torben Steenhede got a free kick in the 12th minute. Gert Altorn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Neymar Da Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Codruț Doroftei hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Gert Altorn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neymar Da Silva in the 23rd minute of play. 30 minutes into the game, Várdomb's Neymar Da Silva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gert Altorn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 32 minutes into the game, Imre Herceg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Gert Altorn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gert Altorn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pape Lillo in the 36th minute of play. After having played for 38 minutes, Neymar Da Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Várdomb's supporters crossed their fingers, but Neymar Da Silva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Per Nørbjerg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Hønning getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Torben Steenhede hit a great ball. A hard and well directed shot from Mendiko Angles led 44 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Hønning's Gert Altorn became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 0-4. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Neymar Da Silva to strike the kick off in the second half. Hønning were furious when Mikael Kandil was red carded, 51 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Olaf Wieczorek shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Balázs Szakál scored 0-5 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gert Altorn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Várdomb's Marciano Marino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per Nørbjerg in the 61st minute of play. The supporters of Várdomb booed when Hønning was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fillip Knutstad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Torben Steenhede hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute Várdomb were awarded a corner. Mendiko Angles went to the cornerflag to take it. John-Arne Riise tried in the 73rd minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Gert Altorn a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 0-6. Laurids Hvenekilde kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. A hard shot 82 in the game by Pape Lillo from a close distance when the talented Gert Altorn managed to make a qualified save. Hønning's players were relieved. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hønning's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mendiko Angles was slow to take the kick. During this time Várdomb's players had a chance to rest. After 87 minutes, Per Nørbjerg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hønning and the Várdomb players grew even worse after the yellow card. Per Nørbjerg hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. 89 minutes into the match, Várdomb's goal looked a bit too open when Per Nørbjerg came free, but Marciano Marino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Askild Ene fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marciano Marino having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Várdomb walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
