Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when John-Arne Riise kicked off to start the match. With an all-out effort, Buffalo Timişoara's Gert Altorn threw himself towards the right post 5 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marin Tufescu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 7 played minutes, Buffalo Timişoara's Vali Voicescu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gert Altorn came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Buffalo Timişoara reached it. In the 8th minute Per Nørbjerg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hunor Csapó saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Per Nørbjerg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marin Tufescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Gert Altorn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mikael Kandil hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. 18 minutes into the match, Buffalo Timişoara's Benny Škriniar broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Gert Altorn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Zbora in the 21st minute of play. Gert Altorn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Zbora, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hønning's Gert Altorn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Zbora in the 26th minute of play. Laurids Hvenekilde kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. If Benny Škriniar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Laurids Hvenekilde fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hønning's protests and gave Laurids Hvenekilde a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Hønning's Laurids Hvenekilde got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute of the match Benny Škriniar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gert Altorn showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adrian Zbora made a kick off. Buffalo Timişoara's Hunor Csapó played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John-Arne Riise in the 50th minute of play. When Valentin Voicu came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Buffalo Timişoara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valentin Voicu couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Hønning getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Torben Steenhede hit a great ball. In the 58th minute John-Arne Riise shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hunor Csapó saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute of the match Hønning got a corner. Buffalo Timişoara's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Laurids Hvenekilde ran over to the corner to take the kick. Laurids Hvenekilde made a great header on Hønning's corner, it was just that Buffalo Timişoara's Hunor Csapó managed to reach the ball for a save. Gert Altorn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacy Cerocki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gert Altorn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ionică Buculeasa in the 81st minute of the match. Gert Altorn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ionică Buculeasa in the 83rd minute of play. After 85 played minutes Buffalo Timişoara got a freekick which was hit by Boris Becker. Buffalo Timişoara's Hunor Csapó played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John-Arne Riise in the 86th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers John-Arne Riise in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hunor Csapó saved Buffalo Timişoara from getting behind.
