Irinel Soneriu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Shao Wei Wei in the 7th minute. Octav Romaşcanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Godofredo Maule tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Irinel Soneriu managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when San Martin de Tucumán's Shao Wei Wei fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Iulian Iancu hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, San Martin de Tucumán's Hector Pirro got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute Andrei Joita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godofredo Maule saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. San Martin de Tucumán's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leszek Henryk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. FC Lutanu were awarded a corner in the 45th minute after San Martin de Tucumán's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ilie Cazacu took the corner. Irinel Soneriu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leszek Henryk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leszek Henryk was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Shao Wei Wei in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Irinel Soneriu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FC Lutanu's Irinel Soneriu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niklas Ekeberg in the 71st minute of play. After 76 played minutes San Martin de Tucumán got a freekick which was hit by Leszek Henryk. Yetkiner Yasuns short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Godofredo Maule to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Andrei Joita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robert Stârcea hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Andrei Joita managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Lutanu's supporters rose to their feet, but Andrei Joita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Godofredo Maule breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. San Martin de Tucumán's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team.
