Efim Fedotov made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Roderick van Boxel sent off a good shot on target. If Baykan Sönmez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aurelio Rexino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Latif Bican, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half Los Valientes were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Roderick van Boxel made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Seagulls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerben Klein to maneuver through the defense. Jago Back could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Aurelio Rexino made a huge save. Best Štriker might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Efim Fedotov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Best Štriker ran back to his position shaking his head. After 59 played minutes Seagulls got a freekick which was hit by Nildo Matos. Aurelio Rexino acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 61st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Zbyszko Tomiczek. In the 63rd minute Baykan Sönmez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Rexino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Seagulls's goalkeeper Aurelio Rexino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Seagulls's Reinhard Kloppenburg was substituted for Roderick van Boxel. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by Seagulls's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jago Back was slow to take the kick. During this time Los Valientes's players had a chance to rest. After 72 played minutes Seagulls got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Magallanes. In the 77th minute, Reinhard Kloppenburg made a precise shot to the right of Efim Fedotov. Los Valientes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Baykan Sönmez received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aurelio Rexino came out and tried to block the shot, but Baykan Sönmez slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 81st minute. In the 84th match minute, Seagulls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Best Štriker to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Seagulls's Aurelio Rexino got control of the ball when Baykan Sönmez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aurelio Rexino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baykan Sönmez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Baykan Sönmez could shoot a difficult shot in the 95th minute, which Aurelio Rexino however easily saved by the left post. In the 97th minute of the match Los Valientes got a corner. Seagulls's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jago Back ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Bogumil Markowski managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The Seagulls supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Los Valientes's performance. The match ended with a win for Los Valientes.
