With a little luck, Pegaso's Loren Prats got control of the ball when Marcos Carioca tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mihail Pânzaru's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristoforo Morini read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Pegaso's Loren Prats played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Carioca in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mihail Pânzaru to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Rosenborg's goalkeeper Cristoforo Morini had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mihail Pânzaru.
