La Gallardeta's Belchior Saldanha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Fernandes in the 31st minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Espirillo FC's goalkeeper Jorge Iztal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clemente Anaya. Belchior Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristo Elia, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 34th minute of the match Espirillo FC got a corner. La Gallardeta's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aaron Cutberto ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 35th match minute, Espirillo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Edwardo to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan-Olof Eliasson got free with Jorge Iztal in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 38th minute of the match La Gallardeta got a corner. Espirillo FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alessio Scandella ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jan-Olof Eliasson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Jorge Iztal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 44 minutes, Jorge Iztal successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 46 minutes into the match, La Gallardeta's goal looked a bit too open when Cristo Elia came free, but Belchior Saldanha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Belchior Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristo Elia in the 52nd minute of the match. Arturo Edwardo made in the 53rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Saverio Cristos. Joaquim Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Belchior Saldanha having to interfere. Belchior Saldanha made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Aaron Cutberto sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fulgencio Gartzi in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorge Iztal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jorge Iztal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Olof Eliasson in the 73rd minute of play. Belchior Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnoldo Arotza in the 75th minute of play. In the 78th minute Fulgencio Gartzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Iztal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Fulgencio Gartzi notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Espirillo FC's Jorge Iztal. Jorge Iztal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 91st minute Wilfred Vrede shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Iztal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joaquim Fernandes's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Belchior Saldanha firmly grabbed it by the left post. Fulgencio Gartzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Iztal having to interfere. La Gallardeta's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
