Pål Sefastsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pål Sefastsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kerry Sellers, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. National Team Cape-Verde's Pål Sefastsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sid Chadwick in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute of the match C. A. Independiente got a corner. National Team Cape-Verde's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alfredo Felder ran over to the corner to take the kick. Pål Sefastsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kerry Sellers in the 29th minute of the match. Qiu Fan Ran kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, C. A. Independiente's goalkeeper Farid Mondragón had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fredric Melander. Pål Sefastsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kerry Sellers in the 37th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Sid Chadwick made a precise shot to the right of Pål Sefastsson. National Team Cape-Verde's Bennvar Post was substituted for Carlos Alberto Tevez. The wind increased when Xu Yun Quan made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Bennvar Post left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The National Team Cape-Verde fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. The throw-in from Karl-Oskar Björkdal in the 55th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by C. A. Independiente's Sid Chadwick. The crowd rose to their feet as C. A. Independiente's Kerry Sellers slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pål Sefastsson. That made the score 1-4 after 59 minutes of play. Pål Sefastsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xu Yun Quan in the 65th minute. In the 67th minute Bennvar Post shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Farid Mondragón saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, National Team Cape-Verde's Karl-Oskar Björkdal got a free kick in the 72nd minute. If Kerry Sellers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kerry Sellers got free with Pål Sefastsson in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kerry Sellers in the 78th minute of play forced National Team Cape-Verde's goalkeeper Pål Sefastsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kerry Sellers in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pål Sefastsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sid Chadwick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Pål Sefastsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Qiu Fan Ran kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Pål Sefastsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kerry Sellers went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Bennvar Post put it in 2-5 from a short distance just to the right of Farid Mondragón. When Qiu Fan Ran fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C. A. Independiente's protests and gave Qiu Fan Ran a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to C. A. Independiente getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Qiu Fan Ran hit a great ball. C. A. Independiente's Farid Mondragón played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bennvar Post in the 96th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. C. A. Independiente walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
