The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Alvaro Sanna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Altuğ Yakup, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Andrés Casado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adalberto Figueiredo in the 16th minute of play. After 22 minutes Sporting Club Sicilia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Elian Müller who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Elian Müller almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sporting Club Sicilia's Alvaro Sanna did a great save. In the 24th minute Altuğ Yakup shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Sanna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sporting Club Sicilia's Guaberto Cristos got a free kick in the 25th minute. Adalberto Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrés Casado having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Sporting Club Sicilia's Adalberto Figueiredo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andrés Casado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Maxim Biller charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. With an all-out effort, Aragorn's Alvaro Sanna threw himself towards the right post 39 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Altuğ Yakup, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Alvaro Sanna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Altuğ Yakup in the 41st minute of play. In the 42nd minute of the match Aragorn got a corner. Sporting Club Sicilia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Elian Müller ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Altuğ Yakup in the 46th minute of play forced Sporting Club Sicilia's goalkeeper Alvaro Sanna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adalberto Figueiredo was the one to do the kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Sporting Club Sicilia's goal looked a bit too open when Fedele Moretti came free, but Alvaro Sanna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
