To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 14 minutes into the match, Santa Lucia de Merlo's goal looked a bit too open when Cordara Creus came free, but Norberto Tino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Artur Rakowicz made in the 15th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Chen Shi Ran immediately put the ball in play. Santa Lucia de Merlo's Norberto Tino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Corderall Nieves in the 19th minute of play. After 20 minutes Santa Lucia de Merlo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luis Miguel who took care of the corner kick. Artur Rakowicz made in the 25th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Ludwig Bergqvist however managed to control. Norberto Tino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vivaldo Carmona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Epifanio Gabrio made an important save on a dangerous shot by M. Agus Young in the 38th minute. Norberto Tino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vivaldo Carmona, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Agus Young's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Epifanio Gabrio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. The Penuel Football Club players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Santa Lucia de Merlo from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
