If Boğaçhan Akyel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 39thth minute of the game Argoitz Abeijon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kattvik kings's Alvar Arvidsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alvar Arvidsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boğaçhan Akyel in the 41st minute of play. John Bratt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Marcelo Barovero made a huge save. When Long Zhan Quan fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kattvik kings's protests and gave Long Zhan Quan a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Kattvik kings getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Long Zhan Quan hit a great ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when John Bratt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marcelo Barovero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şenel Zeval, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Thanks to some nice moves Juan Funes could shoot a difficult shot in the 56th minute, which Alvar Arvidsson however easily saved by the left post. Argoitz Abeijon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Alvar Arvidsson made a huge save. The Kattvik kings fans cheered their team off the field, for while River CBBA had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
