Spectators: 7724 (Terracing: 5794, Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 154) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Eriberto Truylos kicked off to start the match. In the 3rdth minute of the game Eriberto Truylos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Red Proud FC's Lartaun Ibar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Independiente's goalkeeper Gabriel Ikatz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romeo Lechințan. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eriberto Truylos in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lartaun Ibar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lartaun Ibar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Suy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Diogo Velasques came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Red Proud FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diogo Velasques couldn't finish the play. In the 26th match minute, Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Åke Utter to maneuver through the defense. Lartaun Ibar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Suy, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Lartaun Ibar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Suy in the 31st minute of play. In the 35th minute Eriberto Truylos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lartaun Ibar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Eriberto Truylos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lartaun Ibar was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maikel Jol in the 38th minute of play forced Red Proud FC's goalkeeper Lartaun Ibar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute Eriberto Truylos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lartaun Ibar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Independiente's Gabriel Ikatz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernan Chico in the 43rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Independiente defense, Romeo Lechințan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gabriel Ikatz. The Independiente fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gabriel Ikatz should have stopped the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Yuri Castilho was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 55 minutes into the match. After 54 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Red Proud FC! Eriberto Truylos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lartaun Ibar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eriberto Truylos in the 63rd minute of the match. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Eriberto Truylos sped through Red Proud FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lartaun Ibar. Lartaun Ibar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eriberto Truylos in the 73rd minute of play. In the 79th minute, Martin Suy ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lartaun Ibar was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. In the 83rd minute, Tomás Ricart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Independiente's Martin Suy shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 84th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Lartaun Ibar but with some difficulty. The supporters of Independiente booed when Red Proud FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aipytos Stavropoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Red Proud FC defense, Martin Suy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lartaun Ibar. The Red Proud FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lartaun Ibar should have stopped the shot. The Independiente supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Independiente would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
