When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Placido Silvanito sped through Inter de Chillán's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Anton Björnberg. Rickard Erserman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Rigoberto Bihar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Inter de Chillán's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tobías Izamit in the 46th minute. The corner led to Inter de Chillán's Alfonso Sotta getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Muhammet Ökten stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, River Plate ® 9-12's goal looked a bit too open when Vatan Enfal came free, but Rigoberto Bihar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Inter de Chillán's goal looked a bit too open when Placido Silvanito came free, but Anton Björnberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The River Plate ® 9-12 supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing River Plate ® 9-12 would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
