An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodor Huștiu in the 11th minute of play forced WINNING ELEVEN's goalkeeper Jake Leonard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fotbal Club Vaslui's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Wellington Neves in the 12th minute. A nice corner shot did that Wellington Neves got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jake Leonard quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 19 played minutes Fotbal Club Vaslui got a freekick which was hit by Wellington Neves. Gică Hăulică hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Fotbal Club Vaslui's Genaro Montez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Fotbal Club Vaslui from getting a goal against them. In the 34thth minute of the game Neron Veterini who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fotbal Club Vaslui's Genaro Montez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 35 minutes into the match, WINNING ELEVEN's goal looked a bit too open when Traian Traian came free, but Jake Leonard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Genaro Montez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Neron Veterini showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 39 minute of play. In the 44th minute Traian Traian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jake Leonard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Fotbal Club Vaslui's Gică Hăulică got a free kick in the 47th minute. The supporters of WINNING ELEVEN booed when Fotbal Club Vaslui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gică Hăulică didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Traian Traian made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, WINNING ELEVEN's Nemesio Tximitx got a free kick in the 58th minute. Traian Traian could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Jake Leonard made a huge save. Fotbal Club Vaslui's Visti Hjelmstoft managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Vilhelm Gustafsson in the 66 minute of the game. After 67 played minutes WINNING ELEVEN got a freekick which was hit by Julio Gomez. A collision led to WINNING ELEVEN getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Vilhelm Gustafsson hit a great ball. WINNING ELEVEN made a substitution. Hernán Restat replaced Patricio Ostadar. Fotbal Club Vaslui's Matías Azevedo was substituted for Traian Traian. In the 70th match minute, WINNING ELEVEN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vilhelm Gustafsson to maneuver through the defense. After 82 minutes, Silverio Gipuzkoa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the WINNING ELEVEN and the Fotbal Club Vaslui players grew even worse after the yellow card. WINNING ELEVEN's Wiktor Karp got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. WINNING ELEVEN's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
