Rickard Erserman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anton Björnberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Calisto Flayre in the 28th minute of the match. Marcial Saez kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Inter de Chillán's Rickard Erserman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tolis Prinianakis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind GREEN LIONS's goalkeeper Tolis Prinianakis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 39th minute Inter de Chillán were awarded a corner. Tobías Izamit went to the cornerflag to take it. Vatan Enfal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tolis Prinianakis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. In the 44th minute, Vatan Enfal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anton Björnberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calisto Flayre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 48 minutes into the match, Calisto Flayre had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anton Björnberg. Inter de Chillán's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Calisto Flayre was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Calisto Flayre stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vatan Enfal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tolis Prinianakis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in GREEN LIONS's zone, Vatan Enfal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tolis Prinianakis came out of the goal and Vatan Enfal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vatan Enfal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tolis Prinianakis having to interfere. Inter de Chillán's Arnaldo Detmer was substituted for Salvador Mateluna. In the 69th minute of the match Inter de Chillán got a corner. GREEN LIONS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tobías Izamit ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Inter de Chillán's Tobías Izamit to fire away a dangerous shot which Tolis Prinianakis despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The Inter de Chillán fans' excitement grew in the 71st match minute when Inter de Chillán's Vatan Enfal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
