Geležinis Vilkas's Léo de Azevedo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Theo Tuyp in the 10 minute of the game. Geležinis Vilkas's Arne Rusterholz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathias de Ruijter in the 12th minute of play. The Geležinis Vilkas fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Geležinis Vilkas's Arévalo Miñaca looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 24 minutes into the match, De Pelgrims's goal looked a bit too open when Arévalo Miñaca came free, but Mike Zoetmulder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arne Rusterholz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Huub Gerrits in the 26th minute of the match. Geležinis Vilkas's Arne Rusterholz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Huub Gerrits in the 28th minute of play. Mike Zoetmulder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arévalo Miñaca in the 31st minute of play. Arne Rusterholz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Perivaldo Eger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Geležinis Vilkas getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Ferrer Acha hit a great ball. Arne Rusterholz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perivaldo Eger in the 37th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arévalo Miñaca made a kick off. In the 51st minute of the game Theo Tuyp made a throw-in which Huub Gerrits played forward. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Léo de Azevedo during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 53rd minute, Léo de Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. De Pelgrims's Mike Zoetmulder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arévalo Miñaca in the 55th minute of play. Arne Rusterholz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathias de Ruijter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Geležinis Vilkas's Arévalo Miñaca got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arne Rusterholz made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Mathias de Ruijter sent off a good shot on target. Perivaldo Eger came free with the goalkeeper in the 68th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Arne Rusterholz could save by the left post. In the 69th minute De Pelgrims were awarded a corner. Fu Peng Feng went to the cornerflag to take it. Huub Gerrits was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Arne Rusterholz came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by De Pelgrims's Perivaldo Eger. But to his dismay, Perivaldo Eger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Geležinis Vilkas's Arne Rusterholz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathias de Ruijter in the 79th minute of play. Saulius Grapskis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mike Zoetmulder having to interfere.
