Robustiano Eron hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's zone, Eitautas Ivoška stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Batıkan Muhsin came out of the goal and Eitautas Ivoška tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 12 minutes into the match, Geležinis Vilkas's goalkeeper Arne Rusterholz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benedicto Bihar. In the 15th minute Lorenzo James shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arne Rusterholz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute Arévalo Miñaca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Batıkan Muhsin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arévalo Miñaca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcel Méjean hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Saulius Grapskis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Geležinis Vilkas's goalkeeper Arne Rusterholz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Benedicto Bihar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Arne Rusterholz made a huge save. Arne Rusterholz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benedicto Bihar in the 40th minute. After a rather tough play, Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Bernardo Sasso got a free kick in the 47th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benedicto Bihar was the one to do the kick off. Arne Rusterholz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedicto Bihar in the 58th minute of the match. After 61 played minutes Geležinis Vilkas got a freekick which was hit by Zenonas Lopeta. In the 63rd minute, Lorenzo James got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 65 minutes in the game Bernardo Sasso did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Benedicto Bihar. After 70 played minutes Geležinis Vilkas got a freekick which was hit by Zenonas Lopeta. If Aykut Canel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute of the game Zenonas Lopeta made a throw-in which Arévalo Miñaca played forward. Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Aykut Canel got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Seçkin Öksüzoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Geležinis Vilkas's Arne Rusterholz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurtuluş Senih in the 84th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Geležinis Vilkas's Zenonas Lopeta got a free kick in the 86th minute. Arne Rusterholz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aykut Canel, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. The supporters of Geležinis Vilkas booed when Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Méjean didn't get a good kick on the ball.
