In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hertha 1969's goalkeeper Rune Jarstein, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rune Jarstein came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Xeneizes's Qi Xun. But to his dismay, Qi Xun quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Rune Jarstein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Iigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Hertha 1969's Wilhelm Nienhaus fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Rune Jarstein showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Slavko Mojsovski in the 23rd minute of the match. A collision led to Xeneizes getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Mihai Şelaru hit a great ball. Rune Jarstein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Iigo in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Qi Xun in the 32nd minute of play forced Hertha 1969's goalkeeper Rune Jarstein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th match minute, Xeneizes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Di Tullio to maneuver through the defense. 38 minutes into the match, Xeneizes's goalkeeper Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zé Paulo da Silva. Rune Jarstein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Iigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Qi Xun hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Qi Xun stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Qi Xun's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rune Jarstein firmly grabbed it by the left post. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Paulo da Silva in the 58th minute of the match. Wilhelm Nienhaus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilhelm Nienhaus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Xeneizes's Mikolaj Smolarek got a free kick in the 65th minute. Xeneizes's Aristides Nastasio was substituted for Pablo Domeka. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 72 minutes into the match, Hertha 1969's goalkeeper Rune Jarstein had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fulgencio Peru. Hertha 1969 made a substitution. Rupert Heidingsfelder replaced Wilhelm Nienhaus. Xeneizes's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mihai Şelaru in the 74th minute. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rupert Heidingsfelder in the 77th minute of play. Rune Jarstein made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fulgencio Peru in the 81st minute. Hertha 1969's Rune Jarstein proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Hertha 1969 from getting a goal against them. Rupert Heidingsfelder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 90 minutes into the match, Xeneizes's goal looked a bit too open when Rupert Heidingsfelder came free, but Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Hertha 1969 lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
