Spectators: 7785 (Terracing: 5840, Seating: 1790, VIP seats: 155) Wilhelm Nienhaus started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Rubinho Lago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedikt Bensch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 4th minute, Jânio Loureiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 6 played minutes Hertha 1969 got a freekick which was hit by Emilio Melzer. Rune Jarstein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barnaba Kolba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hertha 1969's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Barnaba Kolba was slow to take the kick. During this time Callegari's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Callegari's Fred Monteiro to fire away a dangerous shot which Rune Jarstein despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 13th minute, Barnaba Kolba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 15th minute Benedikt Bensch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubinho Lago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 20 minutes of play, Callegari's Barnaba Kolba made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rune Jarstein was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rubinho Lago prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rune Jarstein made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dé Terra in the 26th minute. Rubinho Lago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 28th minute of the match. Rune Jarstein came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Callegari's Barnaba Kolba. But to his dismay, Barnaba Kolba quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Rubinho Lago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Paulo da Silva in the 40th minute of the match. Rubinho Lago stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zé Paulo da Silva's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Barnaba Kolba to make the kick off. After 55 played minutes Hertha 1969 got a freekick which was hit by Lothar Heber. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hertha 1969's goalkeeper Rune Jarstein, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Benedikt Bensch recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Callegari made a substitution. Marcelinho Sergipano replaced Fred Monteiro. Callegari's Taco Van Der Hoorn was substituted for Barnaba Kolba. Rune Jarstein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Taco Van Der Hoorn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 75th minute of play forced Callegari's goalkeeper Rubinho Lago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelinho Sergipano struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Rune Jarstein didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Callegari. Hertha 1969 made a substitution. Rupert Heidingsfelder replaced Wilhelm Nienhaus. Rupert Heidingsfelder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Rubinho Lago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Callegari's goalkeeper Rubinho Lago had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rupert Heidingsfelder. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rupert Heidingsfelder got free with Rubinho Lago in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Callegari fans cheered their team off the field, for while Hertha 1969 had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
