An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Ferdinand in the 17th minute of play forced Kaplan's goalkeeper Emilian Martinez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Boquenses's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Teofilio came free, but Tobias Osoro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 24 minutes of play, Kaplan's Ren Zhi Ke made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emilian Martinez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rodrigo Ferdinand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Emilian Martinez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Severino Rey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Kaplan's Emilian Martinez got control of the ball when Nicolas Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 47thth minute of the game Rodrigo Ferdinand who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kaplan's Emilian Martinez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Boquenses players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Kaplan were winning 0-2.

Boquenses's Teobaldo Oier was substituted for Rodrigo Ferdinand. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nicolas Sancho to make the kick off.
