Luciano Acosta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jay Jowsey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Stanislaw Sniegowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jay Jowsey having to interfere. Project Nemesis's Peter Parker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Louis Naudi in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute Alan Said shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Parker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Project Nemesis's Peter Parker proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Project Nemesis from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sebastian Ekelund in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Peter Parker saved Project Nemesis from getting behind. Jay Jowsey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luciano Acosta in the 27th minute of the match. In the 30th minute of the match Attard Gunners got a corner. Project Nemesis's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Godwin Sapiano ran over to the corner to take the kick. Luciano Acosta took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jay Jowsey. Jay Jowsey dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 41st minute, Luciano Acosta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jay Jowsey was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Luciano Acosta put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Jay Jowsey. In the 48th minute, Jean Carl Cassar Torreggiani got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luciano Acosta to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Louis Naudi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Parker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peter Parker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean Carl Cassar Torreggiani in the 56th minute of play. If Luciano Acosta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jay Jowsey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Acosta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alan Said in the 60th minute of play forced Project Nemesis's goalkeeper Peter Parker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luciano Acosta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano Acosta in the 63rd minute of play forced Attard Gunners's goalkeeper Jay Jowsey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 66 played minutes Project Nemesis got a freekick which was hit by A.J. Beardsley. Project Nemesis's Jakub Kiwior was substituted for Padro Trúpkov. Project Nemesis made a substitution. Filip Drugi replaced A.J. Beardsley. In the 68th minute, A.J. Beardsley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Peter Parker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alan Said, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Attard Gunners's Jay Jowsey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Transito Betonowy in the 75th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 81 minutes, Jay Jowsey successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 83 minutes into the match, Louis Naudi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Peter Parker. Project Nemesis's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Louis Naudi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Attard Gunners made a substitution. Adrian Savona replaced Alan Said. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Transito Betonowy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Project Nemesis's supporters rose to their feet, but Transito Betonowy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jay Jowsey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 89 minutes into the match, Attard Gunners's goal looked a bit too open when Transito Betonowy came free, but Jay Jowsey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peter Parker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Savona in the 93rd minute of the match. Stanislaw Sniegowski struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Jay Jowsey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Project Nemesis. The Project Nemesis supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Project Nemesis would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
