Sarmiento de Resistencia's Tobias Elizardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeoffrey Beetens in the 16th minute of play. Aristide Lung made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Man Tas in the 18th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Sarmiento de Resistencia's Man Tas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aristide Lung narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Zinon Kazakopoulos shot from long distance in the 27th minute, but Aristide Lung was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Jeoffrey Beetens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias Elizardo having to interfere. When Sarmiento de Resistencia's Man Tas in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. If Jeoffrey Beetens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Man Tas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Real Soccer FC's zone, Man Tas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aristide Lung came out of the goal and Man Tas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Man Tas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aristide Lung read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Sarmiento de Resistencia made a substitution. Alex Herrero replaced Man Tas. 63 minutes into the game, Laerte Torres threw the ball into play from the sideline. Sarmiento de Resistencia's Henning Martinsson quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Alex Herrero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aristide Lung read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. A collision led to Sarmiento de Resistencia getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Leopoldo Ixidor hit a great ball. Tobias Elizardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeoffrey Beetens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aristide Lung showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Herrero in the 71st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristobal Jurgi in the 76th minute of play forced Sarmiento de Resistencia's goalkeeper Tobias Elizardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Alex Herrero came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Sarmiento de Resistencia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alex Herrero couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Sarmiento de Resistencia booed when Real Soccer FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Szczepan Podolski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alex Herrero spun around in front of the goal 84 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Real Soccer FC's goal. Sarmiento de Resistencia's Şafak Uysal managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Mazinho de Alcântara in the 86 minute of the game. In the 89th match minute, Real Soccer FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeoffrey Beetens to maneuver through the defense. 90 minutes into the game, Alex Herrero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Aristide Lung was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aristide Lung made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Herrero in the 93rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Real Soccer FC defense, Alex Herrero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aristide Lung. The Real Soccer FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aristide Lung should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Sarmiento de Resistencia had won after a very even match.
