Fajteri's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mario Alberto Kempes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Alberto Kempes in the 11th minute of play forced Fajteri's goalkeeper Kostja Vertot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Armando Vogrinčič recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Arnulfo Kinsen. Armando Vogrinčič showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. In the 26th minute, Armando Vogrinčič left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fajteri fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 30th minute, Fajteri's Armando Vogrinčič dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-1. Kostja Vertot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Alberto Kempes in the 36th minute of the match. Armando Vogrinčič sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Arnulfo Kinsen made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Armando Vogrinčič sent off a good shot on target. Bernardino Ofelio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kostja Vertot having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Bernardino Ofelio made the kick off in the second half. Kostja Vertot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardino Ofelio in the 56th minute of play. Fajteri's Feručo Camlek quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Fabian Manni, made in the 58th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Laurita FC's zone, Armando Vogrinčič stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnulfo Kinsen came out of the goal and Armando Vogrinčič tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Laurita FC's Hélder Fernandez was substituted for Filip Ikalewicz. Fajteri's Kostja Vertot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardino Ofelio in the 69th minute of play. Tine Pižorn kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Fajteri made a substitution. Arnulf Vidmar replaced Feručo Camlek. In the 71st match minute, Fajteri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tine Pižorn to maneuver through the defense. A long shot from Esa Garcha in the 91st minute of play was well struck, but Kostja Vertot made a really good save at the right post. Arnulfo Kinsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Hostar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laurita FC were awarded a corner in the 98th minute after Fajteri's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Esa Garcha took the corner. The corner ended in Esa Garcha almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Fajteri's Kostja Vertot did a great save. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Fajteri had won after a very even match.
