In the 16th minute Pedro Olguín shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomáš Houdek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Qi Guo Yue made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paco Arzola in the 18th minute of play. If Pedro Olguín had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedro Olguín got free with Tomáš Houdek in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Qi Guo Yue took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Novaes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vivaldo Fantini was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 30 minutes into the match. Torreoncito's Qi Guo Yue played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Novaes in the 38th minute of play. Qi Guo Yue took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Novaes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Borys Okopny fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomáš Houdek having to interfere. Pedro Olguín could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Tomáš Houdek made a huge save.

The wind increased when Bernardo Novaes made the kick off in the second half. Qi Guo Yue made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paco Arzola in the 55th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Olguín in the 58th minute of play forced Lex Academy's goalkeeper Tomáš Houdek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 61 minutes Torreoncito's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Roman Jursa who took care of the corner kick. A collision led to Lex Academy getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Otmar Schovánek hit a great ball. With a little luck, Torreoncito's Qi Guo Yue got control of the ball when Leo Štengl tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leo Štengl could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Qi Guo Yue made a huge save. 75 minutes into the match, Torreoncito's goalkeeper Qi Guo Yue had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Miloslav Krupička. If Pedro Olguín had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the game, Lex Academy's Paco Arzola nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Qi Guo Yue made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Torreoncito fans cheered their team off the field, for while Lex Academy had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
