An unexpectedly hard shot by Pranas Užkuraitis in the 5th minute of play forced WZG Sandomierz's goalkeeper Alfred Dziatkowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rudolf Meulman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alper Benli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rudolf Meulman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zygmunt Jarmulowicz in the 12th minute. Arjen Robben hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute Pranas Užkuraitis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfred Dziatkowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Pranas Užkuraitis notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of WZG Sandomierz's Alfred Dziatkowski. Alfred Dziatkowski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's Rudolf Meulman got control of the ball when Alper Benli tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Pranas Užkuraitis fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's protests and gave Pranas Užkuraitis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd minute, Pranas Užkuraitis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rudolf Meulman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zygmunt Jarmulowicz's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. The corner led WZG Sandomierz's Mariusz Basaik to fire away a dangerous shot which Rudolf Meulman despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zygmunt Jarmulowicz in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rudolf Meulman saved Olimpo de Bahia Blanca from getting behind. In the 46th minute of the match Tommi Valkama sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alfred Dziatkowski skillfully saved the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Zygmunt Jarmulowicz made the kick off in the second half. Pranas Užkuraitis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Dziatkowski having to interfere. Luisito Nesor kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Alper Benli notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's Rudolf Meulman. Rudolf Meulman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. WZG Sandomierz's Damazy Puch managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Carmelo Gorka in the 65 minute of the game. Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's Rudolf Meulman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zygmunt Jarmulowicz in the 69th minute of play. Luisito Nesor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Alfred Dziatkowski made a huge save. Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tommi Valkama in the 88th minute. A nice corner shot did that Tommi Valkama got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alfred Dziatkowski quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Alfred Dziatkowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmelo Gorka in the 90th minute of play. Arjen Robben might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfred Dziatkowski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arjen Robben ran back to his position shaking his head. Rudolf Meulman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zygmunt Jarmulowicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Olimpo de Bahia Blanca players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
