After a rather tough play, Cobresal's Adalberto Monasterio got a free kick in the 5th minute. After some careless play in the Cobresal defense, Reggie Clement kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea. The Cobresal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea should have stopped the shot. Reggie Clement had several of the Cobresal's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 10 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea as he didn't even see the shot coming. With his leg Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea managed to avoid a goal in the 12thth minute, when Al-Slottshöjden's Åke Ahlbeck fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 14 minutes into the match, Cobresal's goal looked a bit too open when Reggie Clement came free, but Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Cobresal's goalkeeper Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reggie Clement. If Josef Hellbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reggie Clement, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Nunez Gipuzkoa kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Josef Hellbom. Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reggie Clement, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josef Hellbom in the 31st minute of play forced Cobresal's goalkeeper Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Reggie Clement kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea. That made the score 3-0 in the 32 minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Cobresal's goal looked a bit too open when Reggie Clement came free, but Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Åke Ahlbeck who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cobresal were furious when Octavio Bourchier was red carded, 43 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Cobresal made a substitution. Pere Jordi Jofre replaced Gaitano Valdovinos. A collision led to Cobresal getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Octavio Bourchier hit a great ball. Hugo Söderkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gregorio Quintero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josef Hellbom in the 50th minute of play. Al-Slottshöjden's Adilson do Vale proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Al-Slottshöjden from getting a goal against them. Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reggie Clement, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cobresal made a substitution. Kenny McCormick replaced Danilo Diaz de Valdes. In the 70th minute Al-Slottshöjden were awarded a corner. Josef Hellbom went to the cornerflag to take it. Josef Hellbom's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Al-Slottshöjden's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
