Atlético Municipal's Oscar De León came free and shot a quick shot against goal 24 minutes in the game, fortunately Adolfo Adrio had problems saving as it came toward the left post. In the 27th minute of the match Atlético Municipal got a corner. 0 descensos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Atlético Municipal's Chuan Cintron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas-James Joshua in the 33rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claude Sena in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adolfo Adrio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 40 minutes into the game, Aristides Caldas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético Municipal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 0 descensos the free kick. After 43 minutes of play, 0 descensos's Lucas-James Joshua made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Chuan Cintron was left in no man's land by his defense there! Atlético Municipal's Frank Dusett was substituted for Willie Colon. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frank Dusett stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Frank Dusett scored 2-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adolfo Adrio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Lucas-James Joshua managed to get in a good position for a shot. 0 descensos's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas-James Joshua was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chuan Cintron breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chuan Cintron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Ermano in the 57th minute of the match. With a little luck, Atlético Municipal's Chuan Cintron got control of the ball when Lucas-James Joshua tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 64th minute of the match Jarkko Tuovinen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adolfo Adrio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The corner led Atlético Municipal's Frank Dusett to fire away a dangerous shot which Adolfo Adrio despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 80th minute Claude Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Adrio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucas-James Joshua could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Chuan Cintron made a huge save. Adolfo Adrio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Héctor Lavø, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Robustiano Lico hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Atlético Municipal's Nuno Galve was substituted for Andoni Viguri.
